Sing a song of sixpence pocketful of rye
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie
When the pie was open, the birds began to sing
Wasn't that a dainty dish to set before a king?
Stacy Powell writes and performs with an ever-changing collection of her talented friends as 4&20 Blackbirds -- serving up savory harmonies in the form original tunes as well as alt-folk, rock and country classics. The current band lineup includes her long-time friend and musical collaborator, Karen Hovde, on rhythm guitar and vocals, Tad Buhman on mandolin, Jim Marcotte on lead guitar and Bill Roman on bass. 4&20 Blackbirds at 2017 Northwest Folklife Festival. This was such a fun show. My band included Jakob Singer, Karen Hovde, Tad Buhman and Ryan Hendrickson.
